By first creating the black and white layout in InDesign, I aimed to make something "corporate" but not uninteresting in layout.
I then printed the pages out on thick white cardstock, and with REAL Posca pens, marked them up with a little personality. That extends to spreads like the Mission Statement being covered ink.
In doing this method, the most challenging part of the process was allowing the paint to dry on each page before individually digitizing them with a handheld scanner.
This was followed by formatting each scanned page into a spread in InDesign, making sure the page numbers and illustrations aligned correctly in the digital stage.
Finally, Posca's 2026 Annual Report was created, utilizing the medium itself to bring life to something seemingly mundane with paint.
